Notes and thoughts on Gatsby chapter 9

What we find that is that nobody really cared about Gatsby. The only really love he felt was Daisy's love. It seems to me no matter what he was going to be a successful man. After he dead not cared and where saying that's what he deserves.

Notes and thoughts on Gatsby chapter 8

1. Gatsby tells Nick that Daisy got to the window at 4 in the morning 2. Nick suggests that Gatsby ought to go away. 3. Gatsby told Nick that he felt as if he were married to Daisy even though he is not 4. What happens in Autumn is the leaves fall off the trees because they die like Mrs. Wilson Its important because he hasn't swum in it. 5. The climax was that Gatsby was murdered in his pool by Mr. Wilson and then Mr. Wilson killed himself

Notes and thoughts on Gatsby chapter 7

1. He stopped having parties because he now has Daisy and he wants privacy. 2. Gatsby didn’t want anyone gossiping about him and Daisy. Gatsby replaced them with half a dozen who never went into West Egg Village to be bribed by the tradesmen. They are different because they weren’t servants but people who did illegal things. 3. Gatsby kept looking at Daisy’s daughter in surprise. 4. Daisy and Tom were getting along with each other. Tom won Daisy over.  The fight was about Tom cheating on Daisy. 5. They crashed on the way back to Long Island. 6. Tom takes Gatsby’s car with Jordan and Nick in it and Gatsby takes Tom’s car with Daisy in it. What this tells me about Daisy’s character is that Daisy is a pretty fool. Yupp

Have to versus want to versus get to

The difference between agreeing is almost like a promise that your going to do the work. Your gonna do anything in your power to get your work done. What I think exploring what you want to is you basically saying who cares about the work I'll do something time. It's like saying who cares what the teacher says am going to do what I want.

Notes and thoughts on Gatsby chapter 6

We learn a lot about gatsby in how he changed a his name to jay Gatsby it wasnt his original name. Also that he left home to chase his dream when he was 17. As he got older he thought that money could get him anything he wants like daisy.

Notes and thoughts on Gatsby chapter 5

What we find that is that gatsby was saving all the things that daisy liked and did anything to keep her because he loved her so much. Daisy didn't know what she was missing out on.

HOW YOU KNOW WHAT I KNOW

How I know what I know about the story is when Dr.preston takes time and explains the story a little but I get a better idea of what's going on like that. That's how I am keeping up with the story.

TESTING UNDERSTANDING FROM THE OTHER SIDE

I noticed that they basically knew all the answers to my questions. I feel like they know what the story is about to think they have a deep understanding.

GATSBY TEST GRADES

When I saw the answers  I noticed that they answered all of them correctly.  Here are the answers. 1. Nick was the narrator 2. The narrator left because he went to tell the story from his view and not in the third person Chapter2 3. Tom punched Wilson because she was talking about Daisy 4. The characters were Mr. and Mrs. Merdil and Tom Chapter3 5. Some rumors are that he murdered someone 6. Gatsby's first name is Jay Chapter4 7. Yes Jordan Baker is a cheater 8. the 2 girls were wearing yellow

GATSBY TEst CHAPTERS

Chapter 1 1. Who was the narrator? 2. Why did the narrator leave? Chapter 2   1.what caused tom to punch Wilson 2. who were the characters that got drunk chapter 3 3. What are some rumors about Gatsby? 4. What is Gatsby's first name? chapter 4 5.  Is Jordan Baker a cheater? 6.  What were the two girls wearing at the party of Gatsby?

Nicks cardinal virture

That he is one of the honest characters in the story but that wasn't really humble of him to say that.

Now it's a party/gatsby chapter 3

What rumors about Gatsby did the two girls and Jordan talk about?  Why do you think Gatsby is so mysterious?  that he's a German spy and that he murdered someone.   What does Nick call the man in Gatsby's library?  owl eye, alasko What does Nick initially imagine Gatsby to look like?  middle aged, imposing, intimidating What does Nick find out about Jordan?  that Jordan is dishonest What do Gatsby and Nick plan to do on the next day? plan to go hydroplane. At the end of the chapter, we learn that Nick's cardinal virtue is," I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known."  Fill in the blank and explain why you think he mentions this at this point in the book.

My un/finished symphony

What I have unfinished is my blog post and I need to catch up

Gatsby pp 38-

The way how the editor didn't fix the run on sentence was because he wanted us to believe he was drunk.

Gatsby pp 23-37

The lights are looking down at you like God like eyes. Tom girlfriend took off with the guy he was making the car deal with. When he returns from getting chairs they are not there no more.

Gatsby 11-22

During reading the pages I learned that Tom is a really racist person. Also how daisy was talking down on her daughter for being a girl.
