Walking on my first day of school, I thought it would be just another regular English class. At first, I thought you were going to say that in the next upcoming days we were going for our textbook. But then you started talking about how we can choose how we want to learn. Then you walked out of the class to let choose and thought you were not being truthful about us being able to choose. I why I didn't trust it was because it was the first day of school. From the person, I was the first day of school and the person I have become is really different. One skill that I have really improved on was my work ethic because am really a lazy person. But when I say I am going to do something that means that am going to do it. One of my blogs that really show me putting a lot of effort was called MY ESSAY ESSAY. This shows how I manage to finish two essays two days apart from each other. I feel like in all my essays I put in all the effort for it could be the best. I wrote this with a lot of e

What I did over the 1 week off was to forget about school work and relax my mind from school. So basically I didn't do none of my work from my other classes. I just wanted to enjoy my time by sleeping in and just enjoying my time with my family. So for that whole week I forgot about school. That's how my week went, I could say it was fun.

What I like was that he made point about that if you have an idea and later on you get an even better you should not stay with the old one because you just made the first one better.  A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little mind. To be great is to be misunderstood.

what I got from the story is to trust yourself. That no matter what happens or people around you are always gonna succeed in whatever you tryna do. The sentence was it says that God would not have his work  manifest by a coward.  What that means to me is if he doesn't see you put in the effort  he's not gonna waste his time on you.   I like he talks about the voice you have in your head when your by yourself and it slowly goes away. >

Our acts our angels are, or good or ill. To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, -- that is genius. Also, I like how the author makes the point that there is a lot of time people have questions abut are sacred to ask because they could be judged. I like how he didn't get to the point but how he used words to make get the point. I could relate to a lot of things he talked about.

     Bradbury's experience was really lonely and was not the best for a human. He must've felt really sad because people were not talking to each other no more. Also how technology was becoming a big problem in how people act these days. Robots are taking jobs and being used like regular people with authority like the police car that stopped him with no one in it. Also how the setting was really scary and serious for Bradbury because the whole story he was basically by himself with no humans around him. The whole story was really tuff for him but that was all the anger he had and decided to write a story to get somewhat even with the police department.     What Bradbury makes you feel is that in the future people are gonna be really lonely due to technology. This is due to the beginning of the story its starts with Bradbury being outside on a November night. It was nice misty, with no other person to be seen outside. The story of my life started freshman year when I joined the football team. This how through all the years that I have been playing football I have never played a full season without being injured. My freshman year it was hamstring I pulled it and it took me out for half of the season. Next was my ankles and my concussion my ankle injury didn't really take me out but it was the concussion that took me out. Finally up to this present day I am out basically for the whole season because of a knee injury. The knee injury was the worst because I was out for the whole season. That was tuff for me. This was my short life story as a football player.

What I think how the tone of Ray Bradbury contributed in the making of the story is by. You could also sense the angry he has through his reading when he writes about getting stopped by the furtureisc cop car. How he felt about being stopped by a cop car with no one in it. Also the plot of the story contributed is by making sound that by 8 o clock everyone is inside and not outside. Also he was predicting everything he thought that would be in the future. This is cool because we living everything he once predicted.

What I learned when we were having our little conversation. Was that the people in my group are either behind two or more posts and something is on top with the blogs. Also, none of them have finished their vocabulary words.

What is doing right now with my time I think that am where am supposed to be. Like playing football is really considered to me like wasting your time. I feel when like when I am on the field it relieves me from the stress that I have. Honestly, because I feel like when football is over I just stress about school and I just waste my time. Like school, I just feel like I am wasting my type but honestly, I feel that it would help me in the big run.

My first impression about the video was that the kids didn't really have a saying in the class because they would only follow what they told them to do. Also when the guy walked in the classroom he was ready to get mad at them. Also how you Dr. Preston compared the    Leonardo Da Vinci painting as an example of how it came to a discovery that it didn't have bush marks. Dr. Preston, you said that sometimes you have to get deeper into the explanation to get people to understand you.

    To compare both of the stories they are very alike they use the same kind of writing techniques. In A Dream Within A Dream, the author talks about how the past few days have felt like a dream to him. Also In the story Young goodman brown in the beginning makes it seem like its not a dream but as the story continues it starts to sound more like a dream than an actual walk. They are really the same but one of them from the start sounds like a dream and, the other you have to keep on reading to find out if he really did for a walk for reals. They are different because in the story young goodman brown the author adds a lot of things that mean a lot at the end of the story. In the poem, the author doesn't really have a meaning to the poem for foreshadows anything.

Hello, my name is Michael Velazquez, and I am a student at Santa Maria high school. I am looking for a mentor that could help me out with my business career or give me some helpful information. I have come back around with business you could say because of my family has been selling tamales. I have basically been helping since I was a little kid to this day. But now I go to sale on my own to help out and I really enjoy doing this.

To be honest I really don't what I am going to do to invest in myself. I have never really thought about this. But I know that in the near future I need to have a plan.

my first impression about the poem was that it was really hard for me to understand the topic of the poem. I think this is because it jumps around too much to get one point of the poem.

     In the short story of "young goodman brown," the author uses a lot of writing  techniques as he writes. what The  techniques I choose to write about are  foreshadowing,  diction, and  characterization. I choose these because through the story there is a lot of things happening as if he really did go for a walk, or was it just a really bad dream. Through the story, there was a lot of foreshadowing like the pink ribbon that was going to mean something at the end of the story. The pink ribbons played a role at the end of the story because it shows the purity that faith has throughout the story. Also, the words the author uses to describe the place he is in and how he really is as a person. What really happened was that it was all in his head, all the bad thoughts he had.       How the author tries to communicate the theme is by making us think he really did go for a walk. He does this by making us think that in the beginning, it is normal until he reaches the forest the au

What really would like to ta;k about is faith because that was a big factor at the end of the story because I feel like faith played a big role in the story. This is something that i would like to write about,

1. Hawthorne's purpose for writing the story was to tell you, be careful in what you choose to do in life because one bad decision can mess you up. 2. Faith does not fit faith because she cares about her husband but at the end of the story she does not have hope for her husband. 3. The pink ribbon signifies of good faith is a good person. 4. everything in the story was real because it was just his imagination that took him on this trip to the evil side and back. 5. The old man was not himself because he was the devil himself there was a lot of clues because there was this part of the story where it says that he sold his soul to the devil. 6.the staff could mean that it was a sign showing him to death 7. If brown did't go to the forest he would've lived longer.

Something that am really proud is finishing my resume for it could be checked and corrected. This is a big deal because it will help me with everything when going for a scholarship or applying for a job. This is something that am really proud of this crouse at this point.

My first impression is that I like the story because it talks about what young brown man went through in a walk. It was more like a small journey for him because there was a different situation for each different person he sees. it sounds like hes dreaming but it's all happening in real life.

what I got from today was that it should be must a must to change your password every 30 days. This is because your email is really easy to be hacked in to. Also when you send a message to somebody you know you don't always have to spell the whole word.

What I liked about the story was that the lady knows that it was real. but her husband did not believe her. it shows how a woman can be strong also not just man. also how the animals knew that she was not one of them because of all the things she had were different from them. finally how it was a life lesson

what I was thinking about today is how dr. Preston let us get 60 secs just to focus up in class and our breathing. Also, dr Preston said that he is not going to stop trying to help until your resume is perfect. Also, I really liked the idea of how he sits up the week like each day your focus is on something else.

How I remembered the poem by Richard cory. To be honest, how I remembered was really simple but in order to do this you have to put everything behind like a phone, distractions, make sure you're the only one in the room. This thing can help you remember the poem. So what I did first was just go over the poem once at this point am not really trying to remember anything. Just trying to get used to the poem. After that read it again but this time when I finished I read it backward and then read it forward again. when I was done with that I wrote on a piece of paper and it helped me remember it a little more. Finally, after I did all those things I reread it two more times at that point I had remembered the poem. I hope that you could understand step by step on what I did to remember the poem.

My Past experience with writing essays has not been good because I put in so much effort just to get a lot of comments that I don't understand. Making me feel like all the effort was for nothing and to end it off I did not understand what the comments were about. What I learned today is that everybody feels the same way before and after the essay. Also all the things you said like how the teachers do the same thing every time we do an essay. I think that my experience with my next essay should be better because of you Dr. Preston understand what we go through and am guessing you are not going to make that boring.

Everything is pretty much a remix because anyone can get the original product and change in a way that makes it better. Basically, must of the things we have today was created through one idea then another so that and made it better. Also how they combined two ideas to make one like Albert einstein he did not create the E he just combined it with his equation to make seem like it was his.

how I learned how to read was by my mom. even though she did not know English she tried her best and somehow I learned to read. but I do remember when I use to understand what I read. and really enjoyed books. But though years when I read the book I would forget what it was about. so slowly i lost interest in books till the present day.

what this class is about for is that its a new way of learning and doing something I have never done like blogs. The easiest part of this class the blogs because sometimes I like the topic and get deep into it. the hardest is the journals because I have some times have a problem in how to start so i have to ask around. What I have learned is the soratic method and I liked it because it gives you new ways to go against the other person opinion. why do we have to go to school for more than 12+ years?

how the author helped me understand the poem by using diction, syntax, and tone. Was by because of the word he chose to use. This helped me understand the poem because he used some words that he used am use to hearing. Also how the tone of the poem doesn't just stay in one tone. it changes like every paragraph.

Why do we have to go to school for more then 12 Years.

You are not entitled Because at the end of the day you don't have freedom of speech. All the things that they told you had are not true. This because you could be in class and tell the teacher what you think about the topic but they don't agree with you. Then they tell how you are thinking about is good but it's not about the topic by them saying that it makes you feel bad. So when they say you have freedom of speech you really don't.

How I remembered was by saying it twice forward. After that, I said backward once or twice. But I did all of this by breaking it down into 4 parts. After I read it forward I wrote it down. Finally, for the other parts, I did the same thing. That's how I remembered it.

What I think about this is that it could help you out because if you don't know your rights you could be missing out in a lot of things. Also, you should have the right to say what you think about something or whatever you're talking about. This could make a difference in what the outcome could be. Finally, think that the right that your born are good but I do understand that people don't have to feed you or house you.

 What I think about the socratic method is that it could help understand what the conversation is talking about. Also that it helps you get both sides of the story but makes you think negative. Finally what I think that it could help you are use keywords that could help you out in an argument. This all I got because I had to read more than once but most of the information did stay in my head.
